To introduce the American Society of Addiction Medicine’s Criteria—Treatment Criteria for Addictive, Substance-Related, and Co-Occurring Conditions (2013),which is the most widely used and comprehensive set of guidelines for assessment, service planning, and placement in the treatment of addiction.
